Thank you! I wasn’t sure if that setup would be appealing to people, but I guess it is. Thanks so much for all your support.

By the way, I’ll be going on the writers’ retreat again this summer (I already got the dates and have been looking into flights! You have to come - it won’t be the same without you! And, I promise not to watch any movies about bears/nature on the flight over this year! LOL!

Hope you’re well - we really should catch up. How’s the book coming? I want to order a copy when it’s published (it might already be!). Have a great weekend!

Hi Robin, I just sent a note to Clive because I have seen no information about the retreat. Maybe that is what you did, too. Anyway it’s been a while since I have joined any of his workshops. I have had to watch my expenditures, but I will make a special effort to get to this retreat. There’s something very restorative about the Sierras even when things are going haywire as they did last August.

I am struggling a bit—age catching up and slowing me down when I am not ready to slow down. Checking out with a few tests, and so far no dire diseases have shown up.

Glad you brought up the novel. I did secure a substantive editor to start work on the ms, possibly in August, more likely September. I am also checking back with those who said they would read the most current draft. So are you willing to read draft #4 as a beta reader? It is 401 pages double spaced. Primarily, I will be looking for what is working well, what strikes you as awkward and/or confusing, and what may be unnecessary. Basically, whatever you want to tell me. If a reading of 401 pages is too much, then perhaps I could have you read sections that refers to Sonja’s relationship with her Jewish father and his background. This would be some of the beginning chapters and the last two. Let me know and we can continue dialoging by email if you wish.
